Shu Jin

I strive to promote well-being through providing a free and protected space, establishing a safe relationship which honors who you really are, and guiding you to reconnect with your authentic self by creating a strong mind, body, spirit connection. I believe everyone has the capability to thrive by tapping into their inner wisdom. I believe that the struggles and difficulties serve a purpose: to provide us with the chance to reveal authenticity and completeness in our life. Life seems to be falling apart when you focus on the broken pieces. I will help you see how they will come together to form the whole. As an integrative therapist, I take ideas from existential, Jungian, systems, and trauma-informed approaches to understand your story and figure out what we can do together.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Living authentically is the key to our well-being. Living an authentic life means we know who we are and make decisions aligned with who we really are. But that is not easy, right? Human life is complex and difficult, filled with paradoxes and an inclination for self-deception. Especially in modern society, we are so caught up in everyday tasks and accomplishing things, that we forget to look within ourselves for truth and guidance.

How do we know we are not living an authentic life? Symptoms are signals to let us know that our core values or needs are not being met. They arise when we make decisions against ourselves, ignore our values, and desires, put them in the least priority, or when we are stuck in a situation where the elements of the Self are challenged or at risk, like when we lost someone we love, move to a different culture, have a car accident, or getting a divorce, etc.

How do we reach a state of authenticity or wholeness? Connection is the truth. Connection and reconnection create all the reality we know— our experience, our being, and our universe. Everything is connected, and we are part of that connection. I will use various approaches to help you connect to yourself, others, and the natural world.
